Making its debut in 1995, Raf Simons has stood as a primary leader in contemporary and forward-thinking fashion. The brand has had a massive influence on the industry. It was established by its namesake founder, Raf Simons, in 1995 and was fueled by his love of youth culture and traditional menswear. The label is best known for its constant innovation and signature style, which has evolved tremendously throughout each collection. Inspired by teenage subcultures, Raf Simons is represented by individuality and independence.

Raf Simons is from Belgium, and after studying industrial and furniture design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the Belgian fashion designer eventually transitioned to fashion design. The designer is best known for his minimal, avant-garde, and rebellious aeshtetic that is heavily reflected in his namesake label. Along with creating his brand, Raf Simons has also worked with labels like Jil Sander, Christian Dior, and Calvin Klein. With that, Raf Simons’ Spring/Summer 23 collection marks the final season of the designer’s namesake label. First presented in London in November of 2022, the collection spotlights a selection of grunge-inspired apparel such as shirts, t-shirts, pants, hoodies, accessories like iconic skeleton bracelets, other earrings, and necklaces.

One stand-out apparel silhouette is the Raf Simons Kill Them All T-Shirt. Taking on a cotton construction, this premium silhouette utilizes screen-printed graphics at the front that incorporate unique phrasing and imagery. Additionally, the Tour T-Shirt makes a distinct statement with its bold graphics and terminology at the front and rear. A crew neckline is also placed, while the cotton construction adds breathability. Additional printed branding completes the remainder of the look. Besides t-shirts, the Classic Straight Pants make a contemporary impression with their premium aesthetic. The design features a blend of wool and elastane, while the silhouette is made for a loose fit. The hook, button, and zip closure offer a secure fit, while the logo patch offers further dimension. For a functional finish, the front and buttoned back pockets allow the wearer to keep their belongings close.

The Raf Simons Tour Cardigan also makes an impression with its premium grunge aesthetic. The design takes on a cotton construction along with a half button-down closure. Rubber-printed branding and logo hits are seen at the front and rear, while the kangaroo pocket and ribbed trims tie together the design. Besides apparel, the iconic Raf Simons Skeleton Bracelet arrives once again, composed entirely of sterling silver and representing a skeleton hand. The punk and grunge-inspired design makes a unique addition to any jewelry rotation.
